Clearly, opting to just stick with low-fee index funds is extremely reasonable, and will likely have your portfolio outperforming most managed funds. My plan is: 1) Open an annual Stocks and Shares ISA each of the next 15 years. I would class myself as a mid-grade risk-taker/reasonably adventurous if appropriate, with a high quality company. I wanted an investment trust with an income, so I put £10,000 into The Investment Company.
